Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc. was established in 1955 in Temple, Texas.  We have a recognized reputation for producing a quality work product while providing excellent customer service.

In addition to our Home Office in Temple, Texas, we also have offices in Bryan, Texas, and Waco, Texas.  We also cover the Austin, Texas; Killeen, Texas; and Fort Hood, Texas areas, allowing us to service the Central Texas area.

Our staff of adjusters and appraisers have been with Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc., for many years, providing our customers with a high level of claims adjusting knowledge.  Our office support staff is professional, knowledgeable and they are customer focused.

Our property adjusters utilize Xactimate software, and our auto appraisers utilize Mitchell and ADP software.  We accept assignments and report via e-mail to expedite the claims handling process.

Bruce A. Davis, Owner / Property Claims Manager

Bruce began his adjusting career with GAB in Detroit, Michigan, and transferred to Temple, Texas in the spring of 1975. He joined Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc. as an adjuster in 1984. Later, he and his partner, Larry Vardeman, purchased the company from William Goforth and William Rucker.

Bruce manages our Property Division and has over 35 years experience in handling property claims. Bruce holds a B.A. Degree, which he received in 1971 from University of Pennsylvania, California.

Larry Vardeman, Owner / Casualty Claims Manager

Larry began his adjusting career in 1980 with Texas Farm Bureau, and in 1986, he joined Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc.

With 30 years of claims adjusting background, Larry is experienced in handling all lines of insurance claims, and he is our Casualty Division Manager.  In 1979, Larry received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Louis Mexia, Waco, Texas Branch Manager / Adjuster
License No.: 204565

Louis is a licensed multi-lines adjuster with over 35 years experience. He is experienced in handling residential and commercial losses, including fire losses of $1 million plus.  He joined Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc. on June 1, 1993, as manager when we opened our Waco, Texas branch office.

Louis is a May 1969 graduate of Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas.

Byron Gilchrest, Adjuster
License No.: 288083

Byron joined Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc. in 1997 and has 25 years of adjusting experience. He handles casualty, property and general liability claims. In addition, he is certified to handle flood claims.  He is also experienced in working with contractors, engineers, and attorneys involved in large losses. 

Byron received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1983 from Baylor University, Waco, Texas.

Celeste Davis, Adjuster
License No.: 1188313

After previous experience as Human Resource Manager, Celeste obtained her adjuster's license in July of 2002. Celeste is licensed to handle both property and casualty assignments and she is experienced in handling truck accidents, theft claims, and bodily injury claims.  Celeste is also our Marketing Representative. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1990.
 
Matthew Vardeman, Adjuster

Matthew received his property and casualty adjuster's license in March 2004, and he has been employed at Mid-Texas Claim Service, Inc., since that time.  Matthew is experienced in handling auto, truck, motorcycle, trailer, and classic car appraisals, as well as handling casualty claims.  Matthew earned his Associates Degree in Auto Collision Management from TSTC.

Reginald Peoples, Adjuster – All Lines
License No.: 380261

Reginald received his property and casualty license in April 1996.  He is the branch manager of the Bryan, Texas, office.  He handles auto appraisals, bodily injury claims, with his main concentration being casualty claims.  He has experience in assisting with mediations and working with attorneys.  He attended UTA in Arlington, Texas. 

Robert "Bobby" Babcock Jr., Adjuster
License No: 1470940

Bobby received his all lines adjusters license in October 2007.  His primary emphasis is property claims.  He graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.  He also maintains a realtor's license.
